How to get there

  • By train / The Central “Santa Maria Novella” train station is a 15-minute walk away from the Hotel Hermitage. After exiting the station, follow the signs for the Ponte Vecchio and Lungarno. The hotel is less than 20 meters away from the bridge. If you're traveling with heavy luggage, we suggest you take a cab which should take you to the hotel in less than 10 minutes (15 €).
  • By plane / The cab ride from the Florence “Amerigo Vespucci” airport to the Hotel Hermitage should only take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 €. Alternatively, you can take the Volainbus shuttle to the Central “Santa Maria Novella” train station. From here, follow the directions under "By train".
  • By car / From the Genova/Lucca (A11) or Bologna (A1) highways, once you reach Florence, follow the signs for Rome and exit at Firenze Certosa. Take Via Senese and continue towards the city center towards Lungarno Acciaiuoli until you see the Ponte Vecchio on your right. The Hotel Hermitage is just after the bridge, on the left, at the bottom of the short descent. From Rome (A1 highway) or Siena (expressway), exit at Firenze Certosa and follow the directions above.
